I am Shundretta “Shun Da Guru” , the heart and hands behind Guru Designs. My journey began in 2010 when my spouse and I founded Faded Gear, a youth-centered organization—Future Advocates for Diversity, Education, and Development. We worked with young people facing anger, bullying, neglect, and emotional struggles, using creativity and community to transform their lives.

While distressing and ripping jeans for our youth fashion shows, I realized:

“One of us needs to learn how to sew.”

So we bought a machine, I went to YouTube, and what started as a mission… became my calling.

As my skills grew, our brand evolved—from Faded Gear, to Fierce, to the powerful expression of purpose it is now: Guru Designs.

Within my first six years, I created garments showcased in Louisiana, New York, Texas, Alabama, and dressed public figures like Tabitha Brown, the Green Twin Models, and well-known leaders throughout Mobile.

Today, I specialize in:

for men, women, and children of all sizes.

But my brand is more than fashion—
